Can’t figure it out . I’ve been battling this for about 1 month now . It’s starting to become an emergency things are dying and getting sick . I’ve tried vibrant , weekly 30% water changes, physical removal , I made the tank bare bottom , doses hydrogen peroxide, turned lights off for 3 days . Fish are fine but coral are getting suffocated. I have a heavy clean up crew including yellow tang , royal tang , Martin clown , lawnmower blenny , 6line wrasse , 2 tux urchin, pajama . I change filter socks every two days . Change cup in skimmer every day , got my Fuge going with Chaeto and pods. Good flow . I just can’t figure out what the heck to do ...

Yes all water is high quality rodi in clean tanks from my local fish store . They are on top of Cleanliness 100% I get all my salt water from them as well premixed so someone who really knows what they are doing is mixing the salt

Dino i has the same problem don’t use peroxide doesn’t work they come back, so means ur water to clean 0 nitrate 0 phosphate so u will have to go dark again no black out just no lights turn off skimmer skimmer give them oxygen they need and feed heavily only lights u should run is for the cheato. Before u go dark make sure u get a tooth brush or a brush u can scrub all ur rocks so brush it off the rock and it make it to your filter sock no water change at all it will bring back trace elements they need to survive when u do turn on lights make sure is for a few hrs a day till u completely beat it it took me about a week no water changes just brush the rock before and after 3 days they

I also use Microlift special blend as well before I went dark and after I turn my lights on

I’ll give it a shot at this point I’ll try anything within reason .

Iv been going low Nutrients thinking it was Cyano. Didn’t cross my mind that it might be Dino . I have gfo and Chaeto skimmer and mass water changes so I can see why that wasn’t helping now

Not to knock on your LFS but I thought my LFS was the best and 100 % clean but since I started mixing my own saltwater and my own rodi that's is when I started to have a decent fish tank. I fought with everything in the book until I did my own thing and bye bye LFS..

Too true. The reason I got my RODI is because a certain LFS was selling high TDS water. Of course I was new and didn't think I'd have to check the parameters of the rodi. Lesson learned.

I walked in one day with a TDS meter and tested the water and it read 13ppm that was the last draw and learned how to make my own water

Just think about they need you to come back with issues so they can stay in business.. Not saying that ALL ARE LIKE THAT, But the smaller LFS in my area are I drive about 30 mins to buy fish and corals from a fish store

Looks like Dinoflagellates. Get a microscope and read the Dinoflagellates sticky thread. Good luck, Dinos suck.

Thank you all for your help and input it’s greatly appreciated! I’ll start my journey battling this stuff . From the sounds of it , it’s not going to go down without a fight.
