Hi all, I’ve been doing this for awhile, but have never had algae that looks this thick and hairy.
This tank is 3 months old. It went through a first diatom phase, but this has developed in the last 2-3 weeks.
Nitrate 3.5
Phosphate .03
Alk 9.1
Calc 420
Mag 1380
SG 1.0255

I’ve done the coffee filter test for Dino’s and the water stayed clear, so don’t think it’s that.
One weird thing is that I just added a larger CUC to help, and I’m not seeing many on my rocks or in the sand. I’m not sure if that’s just a coincidence and many died, or if it’s somehow related. Corals, fish are all great. Lots of polyp extension and fish behaving healthy.
Anyway hoping someone can tell me which it is so I can figure out my next step.
Thanks!
