Brown hair like stringy stuff

Hi,
Can someone help me identify what this stringy stuff may be? I thought it was strands of my hair but it is not and seems to be appearing a little more over the last 2 days. Tank is about 7 months old.

Can someone help me identify what this stringy stuff may be? I thought it was strands of my hair but it is not and seems to be appearing a little more over the last 2 days. Tank is about 7 months old.

I also have this in my tank. Which is only about a month old. I figured it was the yellow stuff that the “Reef Crystal” salt mix makes. I am new, so I definitely could be wrong. Would love to hear what it is.
