Brown Hair?

Hi R2R, I have a reefer 350. Mixed reef, not too much bioload and only 5 small fish. Plenty of CUC, crabs and snails. Recently started noticing hairy brown algae growing on plumbing, back wall and now on the rock. Tank is over a year old w good parameters. Salinity 1.025, pH 8.1, temp 78, Alk 8.1, Calc 430, Phos O using Hanna ULR test kit. Not running GFO now, just carbon, water changes about 10-15% every 3 weeks. Very disturbing. HELP...

If your lighting leans towards heavy blue, green hair algae can look brown.

I would suggest removing a little and examine under normal light.

It’s brown. Not green. Maybe Dino’s?
