I wanted to post this since brown jelly had been hitting a lot of people lately. This was not my solution but it worked.
My friends torch started receding and developed brown jelly disease. I’ve battled this once in the past and lost. This time I dipped in iodine, brushed dead brown jelly tissue off carefully with s toothbrush, rinsed with freshwater, and then dipped in coral RX. I did this same process before and the brown jelly came back. This time I took one more step and I used superglue gel to cover all of the exposed skeleton where tissue had died. I believe this is the critical step.
The torch looked mad but I could instantly tell a difference. The remaining tentacles were inflated where before half were going limp. 1 week later the half mouth left closed back up and everything left is inflated. 2 weeks have gone now and I’m going to say the BJD has been beaten and coral is on the mend.
Hope this helps.
