Hey, just bought a gold tip elegance coral, and noticed today a film of slime/mucous on one end of the coral, rest of the coral is out fine and healthy, just wondered if this is Brown jelly disease or something else? I've dipped it twice already in Coral RX.

That appears to be Bjd, sorry. Would try to saw off the healthy part to save it as well as prevent spread to other corals in the tank.

thanks for the response, going to try cut off the infected part and place the coral in my quarantine tank. Dont want it spreading to everything else!

Read this, it explores using antibiotics to cure BJD. Small sample size but author appeared to have good results. Could be worth exploring.

Would try this but quite hard to find antibiotics over here in the UK
