Brown Jelly Disease?

I know this is probably the wrong forum to be posting this in. I just couldn’t find the proper one.
I believe that there may be BJD growing on the plug of a green birds nest coral. There is no other algae growing in the tank, so I don’t think it is that. The coral itself did look dead, but then a few tips started to turn green again. There are still a few brown spots on it

I dont think it is. I haven't heard about brown jelly with sps. Not to say it deosn't happen but I've never seen it

Brown jelly is usually on the coral, not on the plug. That looks like hair algae in the top photo.
