Recently transferred corals from old tank to new tank. Two of my torch corals were not doing so well. I thought it was the stress of the transfer. One completely died the other had two heads one head died the other was ok but didn't look great. Tonight when I went to remove them the one I tossed the other my plan was to clip off the dead head upon lifting it I shook it to remove sand and this brown liquid came out of the dead head so I trashed them both.

Now to my question I have 6 or 7 other euphyllia in the tank. We leave for vacation in 5 days and will be gone for 8 days. I won't be able to monitor the other euphyllia. I'm extremely concerned. Any suggestions? What should I do? Should I dip them now? Should I wait for signs of stress? Should I dip them the day before I leave?

I would proactively dip them If you are truly worried. I went through something similar. If it isn't too close to the other euphylia you may be okay.

Dip in furan 2. When removing infected corals turn off the pumps and try not let any of the bacteria infection aka brown jelly get blown around.

Would recommend you find an experienced reefer to check on things while you're on vacation; perhaps from your local reef club.

I had a similar situation happen to me before. It started from a stressed out goniopora and had spread to a few other corals within a couple days. I turned off all the flow and went in with a baster and manually removed as much as I could. Followed up with a peroxide dip while removing any remaining jelly, dipped in tank water, then put back in the display. I then dosed peroxide for the next month and haven't seen any signs of it since. I did lose a couple corals but it was better than losing an entire tank. Good luck and best wishes!
