Does anybody have any idea what this could be?
I came home today to find a large frogspawn and a large hammer completely gone and amidst the brown jelly was this pulsating feather duster creature.
It may have nothing at all to do with their death and has been there the whole time and I could not see it when the coral was healthy.
I also took a picture of some of the small pieces of frogspawn that I tried to save. They appear to have eggs on the bottom but I do not see any type of critters around and have never heard of any pests that would quickly destroy 2 colonies. I am pretty sure, both were fine last night, not showing any signs of stress

Looks like a cocoa worm that has brown jelly keeping it from coming out the whole way. Have you tried removing the brown jelly to see if it will come out the whole way?

Yes, I did and it was still pulsing. You are probably right. It is light sensitive. When I would shine a light on it to get better pics, it would not come out at all.
I pulled it out of the system just in case but if it's still alive, I will probably put it back in.
What exactly is brown jelly disease? Bacterial? I have experienced it before but didn't realize it could spread between colonies so fast so I wanted to get it out.
The thing that worries me is that I just brought in a large order of lps last week into the system, although they all seem fine. It may be a coincidence but I've had those two that died for years.
