is it just me or has anyone else noticed the trend of brown jelly disease being mentioned way more in the past 90 days? I myself have experienced more brown jelly importing corals in 2022 than any other point in the recent history. Curious if there is something going on near collection sites or holding facilities that may be impacting the overall health and wellness of these corals.

Anyone else seeing this trend?

I've certainly seen a lot more bacterial infections in corals, so it's entirely possible that several years of delayed shipping, strained tank conditions, collection methods, etc. are contributing factors.

I just lost about $1000 in hammers/torches to brown jelly last week. I went on a 10 day vacation into getting covid. Wasn’t watching my tank and my clowns hosting my frogspawn killed a head. It got the jelly and it spread rapidly to all my other corals. By the time I saw it, it was too late. My tank went from beautiful to bare lol. Funny thing is the week before I was saying how my LPS corals grow so well in my tank I jinxed it.
