Hi,

Yesterday I had one of my torch corals just get brown jelly and deteriorate within hours, out of no where. He was next to this guy, who has something weird going on with the side of him. It doesn't look like brown jelly to me, and it's been like this since yesterday, so I figure if it was brown jelly he would be gone already. It just looks like a couple of the tentacles got darker and the tip closed up, but no jelly like the other one had.

Anyones help is appreciated.

Thanks

Its really hard to tell from the pictures, can you describe a little of what it looks like?

Stay safe take the torch out and dip it. Desperate from other corals or if possible place in a coral qt tank. I just got past a battle myself and doing that worked for me!

After dipping place the torch in another container of tank water and blow reasonably hard on all the torch heads to get the jelly out if it's in there

it kind of looks like one or two or the tentacles is burnt, and the fluorescent color looks missing from the tip of the tentacle. It also looks like as if that part could also just be closed up, but it's been like that. I'm mostly hesitant because it does not look like the brown jelly my other one had really at all, I'm not seeing any "jelly" per se.

I don't have a qt tank, and I'm hesitant to take out the coral and dip him without knowing it's fully necessary.

Has anyone seen brown jelly slowly start affecting the coral over multiple days? With my other torch it was within hours, and it was a skeleton.

Thanks again.
