Hey all, I’ve been losing this torch slowly and could be related to the water parameters but was wondering if this is brown jelly disease. I lost some frogspawn in my other tank (this torch transitioned from that tank) and the brown stuff around the head looked exactly the same. Adding in a video and a few pictures. Sorry about quality.

Can’t see anything with all the blue....

If it’s brown and a jelly substance, than is brown jelly disease. It literally looks nothing like algae.

Geez those are horrendous photos now that I'm on my computer. Will work on getting better ones, apologies.

Here’s a better one. Looks like green algae to me now. I don’t run any whites really, using some of the AI Signature series so had to shine a light on it. Must just be the parameters.

I have really low nitrate right now. Think that could do this?

Yep green algae on a dead coral skeleton. It’s growing there since it’s dead feeding on the old decayed coral tissue.
