Brown Jelly or something else?

Hello everyone! So I got home and my torch coral looked great as usual. Glanced back over and I aw some poop looking strand coming out of what looks like it's mouth. Is this Brown Jelly or something else? And would the best course of action to be to cut off that head and dip the coral?

Thank you; that's reassuring. I've only had it for about a week or two so I haven't been able to see first hand all its little quirks. I'll keep watching it closely just to be safe.

Excellent.
It's probably counter intuitive to most. But in these and some of my other corals if after some observation they get a little funk on them I gently wave my hand around them to get them to close up. Pop them off thier mount. And shake the livin heck out of them in the water. Blow em off under the powerhead. Scratch the gunk off with a fingernail. Pull out the tooth brushes if I have to and hit it with that.
And then gently place them back where they go.
