One of my torches got brown jelly and I’m currently KFC dipping it.
I was wondering if I can use ciprofloxacin and amoxicillin in the display tank as all my torches are in a garden and I don’t want others to get it

Dipping will do nothing.

Reefbuilders article. I am actually going to try polyp lab reef primer this week as a dip. On my Euphyllia that has had issue nothing actually works. Thats peroxide, iodine, coralRx etc. Some claim the Cipro tank dosing works but still hesitant for whole tank dosing.

@AquaBiomics did a full tank treatment against brown jelly without any adverse effects. I have the feeling, dipping will only increase the resistance of arcobacter to cipro.

Thanks. :)

FWIW, even a one off experiment that showed no problems would not alleviate my concern since he obviously neither keeps all organisms that others keep, not maintained that tank the same way that any particular reefer did.

It may be fine, but I'd be wary.

Ill see how my other torches are. It killed a nice torch with 5 heads very quickly so thats why im worried.
I have seen Kung Fu Corals use the KFC dip and alot of others swear by it so im not worried about that
