Guys please share your success stories of brown jelly
how you saved your coral from BJD what dip was used did it make it finally?

In the end if coral died then its not a success story.

Varies of this mix has saved countless lps.

The amounts will change depending on who you talk to and what they have tried.

Created by Ryan chummingham and then popularized by Danny at Kung fu corals.

4g tank water with sponge filter and powerhead to mix I don't use a heater as bacteria does better in warm water. Danny says to keep the temp at 74.

We have seahorse tanks and see more benifit from keeping the water arpund 70 for the bath. This may take a reacclimation to temp in your tank but we havent noticed any corals caring beimg put right back in the tank after baths.

500mg cipro
10 scoops chemiclean
Restore 10ml
Amino acid 10ml
Witch hazel 10ml
Lugols Iodine 5 full droppers

Mix these dry ingredients until dissolved and then add the liquid ingredients.

Some use amoxicillin as well but I've had success without it.

Others add bac7 aswell.

Good luck to all those who have issues

Danny's got an IG account under the name kungfucorals.

TONS of documented cases with multiple different lps.

Personally and luckily I haven't had to deal with brown jelly for some time now.

But the cocktail saved at least 10k worth of torches when I went through a metal fiasco due to a mushroom box melting made by pacific northwest custom about a 2 years ago.

Cipro seems to work

I am in UAE and post covid Ciprofloxacin is not available without prescription sadly due to miss use of antibiotics.
Will have to figure out on this

Reef primer did it help anyone?

reef primer is more of a natural chemical dip
versus
going the antibiotic route, which is medication.

if you’re having a hard time sourcing cipro…
perhaps you could purchase some chemiclean.
it’s essentially erythromycin, so you’ll be stepping in the right direction at the very least since it’s an antibiotic

Its erythromycin sulfate, (theres a disclaimer on the back thats its not erythromycin succinate lol). Its an antibiotic which is why it kills cyanobacteria and also your biological bacteria in the tank
