Possibly. Did it happen really fast?
Yes. It was bleached and ticked off for over a week. I moved it to a new place. That didnt help. Just now was thinking of giving it an iodine dip when i noticed vermitid snails all over the stem. So gave it a dip and took off the snails then this started happening and in a matter of minutes.

Did it stink? Like the smell of decaying vegetables or fish? If so, then yeah. Definitely sounds like brown jelly.

Could possibly be brown jelly but I dont see it in the video. It usually is a clump or mass and needs to be sucked off or blown off.

Why did it bleach? This could have cause polyp bailout..

Agreed. It could also be polyp bailout. Or even just some other infection. The super quick loss of tissue makes me think brown jelly, but from the video it is hard to make out if there are the usual clumps of brown... uh... jelly.

Of course, we usually see pics of brown jelly while the coral is still in the tank, so it could just be a perspective issue since it ia out of the water.

Isn't reef keeping fun and not at all stressful!?!?

I jest.

...or do I???

No, no smell
Then it probably was polyp bailout. Cause when a coral is dying from brown jelly or any other serious infection, it smells of death. I remember when my bicolor hammer had brown jelly on one of its two heads. I fragged that head off and almost 1.5 years later the surviving head is doing great and getting larger. But man did the infected head stink!!!

On the other hand, I had a radioactive splatter hammer experience polyp bailout a few months ago (only one head, and the polyps never reattached to any surface, so it eventually died... unless it is somewhere where I can't see it, but I doubt it) and there was no smell when I removed the empty skeleton.

I would say dip it and watch it. Maybe put it low in the tank in a low to medium flow area to prevent it from bleaching and being super stressed out. And then just keep an eye on it. If you have a quarantine tank you can put it in, even better.
