I’m new to all this so was hoping I could get some advice. I noticed Monday one of my torches was dead and had the brown jelly on it. I removed it. Then one head of my Aussie gold wasn’t looking good. I cut the bad head off and then I dipped it and all the other torches and hammers in iodine as the package indicated. We’ll see if it helps. My question at this point is how long do I wait before introducing any other new torches? Wait a week, month, 2 months?

Wait at least until you see no more issues with the other corals in your tank. Disease can be nasty. I had an outbreak once. Set up a qt for all lps infected and moved all after treatment to a new tank. Saved many this way.

I also had a disease go through my Monti population and wipe it all out in 4 months. Began from a one day alk spike. I could not save those. I chose not to add any montis for at least 1 year. I did not add any (changed tank over) and eventually, the dead ones began growing again about 2 years later. Crazy!
