My Chevron has been in quarantine two months along with my two clowns and three fire fish. The were all treated with copper the first couple weeks. Everything has been fine until a few weeks ago. I noticed little brown welt looking spot on my white clown, went away after a week or so. Then my orange clown same thing brown welt on the side, after a week or so it went away. Now my Chevron Tang is showing the same brown looking spots. What is it? Should I treat the quarantine tank? Seems to have went away after a week or so on the clowns. Just more worried about the Chevron Tang$$$? The worm looking line running from the middle to the tail.

Probably a lingering (gram-positive) bacterial infection.

How's your water quality in QT? It looks a little cloudy.

I’m sure the water quality isn’t the best I’ve only been doing 5 gallon water changes every other week. Total water volume is 25 gallons. I did notice that it seems to pop up after I do a water change. But my display tag is using the same water and it’s fine

Since the other fish in the quarantine, have already had it. Then it goes away and never comes back to the fish that’s already had the infection. Should I just let it run its course through the last fish which is the tang in the picture?

What salt are you using? Salt blends high in potassium may actually fuel bacterial infections.

I would do a large water change (at least 50%), feed vitamin soaked foods, and see if it clears up on its own. LRS makes nutrituous foods which also contain probiotics, and would be a good choice to soak vitamins with.

If it doesn't, you'll have to use an antibiotic to control the population of bacteria until the fishes' immune systems can eliminate it: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/antibiotics.283711/
