I have a couple of my zoas that are losing their center coloration. Some of my Tubs Blues and King Midas Golds have turned half there center disk brown...whats going on? So far it appears to be just these two kinds of zoas, everything else seems happy and I have quite a few different zoas/palys. My tank is a 40g breeder which is 16" high, I have a 120w LED light fixture (equivilant to a 250w MH in PAR) which is which I run at about 90w (2 panels so I get a more blue coloration...with the 3rd panel on that has more white LED's it's more white than blue) about 11 - 12 inches above the water. The zoas in question are on the bottom of my tank...any ideas of what is happening and how I can stop it?

Move the zoas up is all I can say. most of the time, that I have seen personally at least, is that theyre not getting the correct wavelengths of light and possibly not even enough in order to keep their color. Im having the same problem with some chalices. From what I heard, a uv wavelength may solve our problems. I have a uv stunner strip on the way and am planning on documenting my point of view of the corals.

Reason??

Are you able to figure out the reason?? Looks like my tank is having the same issue right now
