So I can't for the life of me figure this one out. I used to use a glass 10g tank with a heater and pump to mix my salt for use with a Apex DOS to do daily small water changes. We've since converted that tank into our quarantine tank and purchased a Trigger Systems Aquamarine Triton ATO Reservoir to use in its place. I put in a new pump and heater to mix the salt, and then added an Apex temp probe to monitor it as well. A few days later I noticed a bunch of brown algae growing on the sides and pump and decided to empty and clean it. My original theory was that I didn't clean off the temp probe that I took from my overflow chamber in the tank and it contaminated my WC reservoir. I did a pretty good vinegar based clean of all the equipment and filled it up again. Same thing is happening though. What's causing this?
