Any idea what these spots are? He is eating well and out and about.
They are on both

Could it have been stung by coral? It doesn’t look like turbellarians, black ich to me, but you might want to look up pictures of that and see if it could be that.

I don’t think it is turbellarians. I just did a 5 minute freshwater dip and nothing seemed to come off. Several things came off in the water, but I think it is just where he had pooed during the treatment. He still has the brownish spots.
It is possible it could be stings from a coral. I have a few that could sting. How common is that for a fish though?
I do have some Safety Stop (fomalin and blue methyl treatment) should I try this as well, or something else?

Safety stop is rather a "stop gap" measure, it really isn't designed for full treatments. Coral stings are reasonably common - usually seen on clownfish though. The only true treatment to try would be to move it to a treatment tank and dose with antibiotics...I just wouldn't resort to that unless the spots spread or new symptoms develop.

Hello, did you get a diagnosis of the spots? I just noticed my foxface had the same thing this morning. The spots are attached, but float around like an algae or something.

Not 100% sure. But they went completely away. Very well could have been coral stings as Jay suggested. I see my cleaner shrimp picking at him all the time so it could have just been dead skin cells.
