Brown staining on rock and sand

What is all this brown staining on my rock and sand ans how do I get rid of it?

If the tank is fairly new this is the "ugly" stage that all tanks go through as your tank matures. It's algae growth

Ya its possibly diatoms if its in the first few weeks of getting started. It will pass

Things will get much worse over the course of the first year before they improve.
