Any help on this algae?

It’s like a brown stringy algae that can be easily blown off with a baster

But it’s causing some corals to be deflated or closed up.

There isn’t a lot of it but just enough to be annoying and not allowing my new corals to settle in

mid my flow to low? I’ve seen something about dosing peroxide?

In the process of checking parameters

Could be Dinos. Do you have a microscope?

These are the start of dinos. GENTLY. . . . gently blow away the substance with a turkey baster for the sake of corals and then do this:
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10% IF you have light dependent corals) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7 or XLM) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly

Interesting. Ok I’ll do some research on this!

Mainly curious on how do they start? Did I do something wrong?

I have SPS, LPS, Zoas, leathers, and mushrooms so I’ll do the blues at 10%

how do I avoid it in the future?
