Is all closed up with this stuff on it, looks like brown hair algae but isnt... i dont have hair algae in my tank... also why do some big hermit crabs hide? One of mine is doing that for no apparent reason...

If you cant view the vid i will pm you it

I can't make it out too well but is the "brown" stuff coming out the center of it?

How long has it been like this?

Every once in a while they give off waste. The waste is a dark brown junk. Everything eats and gives off waste. They will close up and look funky for a little bit. Not an issue at all. You should be feeding your nem little pieces of shrimp, clam, frozen feed, etc. They need more than just light. I should know I have a long tentacle anemone, BTAs, and rock anemones. Have had them for years. The rock anemones like to make babies by releasing eggs and sperm into my tank.

Is tilapia good? Will selcon make it better for it?

I didn't want to say it was pooping but that was what I was getting at but wanted more expert opinions to follow up.

I just know if a BTA shrinks up but has its mouth gaping open for long periods of time that is when it is time to worry. (Personally experience)

Here is what a spawn looks like. Little eggs or clouds of white.

This isnt fish waste or poop. Light appears to be low and anemone likely expelling zooxanthellae which is its color and energy source. Assure its provide moderate lighting. Too much light and it will hide
Very clear pic you posted

I scooped it out, it had only been there a few minutes, are T5s better? These are leds Full Spectrum, I was told these lights were good, its been there for almost 3 weeks, opened all the way out but then this happened, parameters are all in the good range

Um... zooxanthellae is expelled with too much light, not too little.

smh
We'll see tomorrow, its mouth has always been closed, etc everything a happy anemone does, I will start feeding it frozen foods with selcon starting tomorrow morning.

Just don't force feed it. Put the food on the tentacles and let it pull what it wants into its mouth.

Here is one source. Bright affects photosynthesis.

As a psychologist, I find it interesting that you feel someone correcting (or merely not agreeing with) you must be doing so out of hate, bitterness, or not liking themselves. Is it possible you read a little more into posts than you should?

Does anybody get to snack on those eggs or do they just go to the filter?
The fish grab what they can. In the case of the rock anemones, I started out with four and now have twelve with some being very colorful reds, greens, and pinks. I have reproduction going on.
