Brown Tang Dying?

Yesterday my Brown Tang didn't come out to eat and he's usually the first to. Upon further examination I found him lying on his side and breathing heavily...not looking to good. I monitored him throughout the day and nothing improved. This morning when I went down, he was right next to a power head...I moved him away with a net and he swam right back to it...his body looks a little caved in and I dont' think he's going to survive much longer.

He has been in a hospital tank with what began as 11 other fish and is now down to 7 if he passes, for the last 6 weeks. All the other fish in the tank are ok for now, but I think I'm going to lose him. If death is inevitable, is there a way to make it not as painful for him?

He looks very emaciated. Have you noticed stringy white poop coming out of any of your fish??

Sorry it's never fun. I have seen this before as well unfortunately.

Is your QT medicated at all? Or have you done any type of treatment with this batch of fish.

These fish had been in a tank w/ Copper for 30 days as I was treating for ich. I had just brought the copper levels out of therapeutic levels 2 days prior to the brown tang getting sick them ultimately passing away this morning

No stringy white poop from any other fish.

I know it's a lost cause now, but out of curiosity what type of copper were you using? I have seen this exact senario myself.
