Browned Acros

I had a handful of Acros brown out on me 2 months ago. I moved them to my other display that is well matured. My newer SPS tank is newer (8 months). I had hopes that perhaps these would color up eventually, but they could be gone. One of them I see some coralline algae growing on, so, yeah, I guess it may be late. I thought they turned white when dead though, can they color back up? Also, in a few hours that random color started showing up on a couple of them. I’m wondering what that is.
