Browning on the sand

Hello everyone,

I am about 3 weeks into my first tank ever. I am starting to see some light browning on the sand. Photo attached. Just wondering if this is just the natural course of my tanks cycle or if corrective actions need to be taken to stop the spread of whatever it is, etc.

Nope its fine. Its called diatoms. It will go away

Diatoms. A kind of protist (grows a bit like algae) very common in new systems and nothing to worry about, it will pass

VERY TYPICAL UGLIES OF A NEW TANK TRYING TO ESTABLISH. YOU CAN GENTLY STIR SAND BED WITH A PLASTIC TUBE TO CHURN IT AND REDUCE WHITE INTENSITY A LITTLE TO ALLEVIATE IT
