Pretty new to reefing and would love to pick your brains. Everything else in my tank seems to be doing pretty well but my yellow goni has started to turn brown in the center. When it's fully closed it looks fully yellow but when extended the polyps are brown.

As a side note: when I bought it I bought it from someone that also sold me a dyed anemone unbeknownst to me. Is it a possibility my Goni is dyed as well?

Welcome to the forum!
Everything else looks very happy to me, but gonipora are one of those corals that are very picky. To me it looks like signs of bleaching, wether its light, or nutrition problems, or nutrients are low. Maybe try moving it off to the side, and get to feeding it. Looks great, just a tad pale.

Did it look like that when you first got it? It's possible that it could be dyed. Did you give it a dip before you placed it in your tank?

Thanks for the welcome !! I just moved it to the center of the tank because I suspected maybe a lighting issue. It was off to the side when I first noticed the browning.

I dipped it in coralrx before putting it in the tank. I didn't notice any color leaking into the water when I dipped though. It didn't look like this when I got it. I'll attach a pic of it at the LFS and then another of it last week in my tank when I noticed it first started to brown.

Looks to be receding a bit there.. it's very possible that it's suffering from some sort of infection

Also, how long ago did you get it? What kind of lighting was it under when you bought it/ what lighting is it under now?

I've had it for 3 weeks now. When I asked them what lights they had they said cheap Chinese ones lol. I'm running radion 30pro G4.

Okay. Seems like a lighting issue. Your other corals look good in the 1st pic. What lights are you using? How are your nitrate/phosphate levels. They also like good water flow.
