hello everyone. Lately my clownfish got a stain on his body, doesn’t look like ich. But it’s rather flat and like a coffee stain on shirt. Meanwhile he’s still fighting and eating with other clownfish. Does anyone have any ideas what that is? Thank you for your advice.

Probably hyper-melanization. Basically, it is rubbing on coral and getting used to the stings associated. Usually does not cause problems and goes away.

That looks like it could possibly be uronema, I'm not sure though so we need to get some experts eyes on this @HotRocks @ngoodermuth @4FordFamily

It could be a sting (hypermelanization), uronema, or an infection. All are treated differently. How long has this been there? Was it sudden or gradual in progression? This will help us narrow it down.

Thanks for your help! It’s there for a week already; and it just appeared out of no where.

More likely a sting if it truly didn’t progress.
