BRS 2 part magnesium concentration?

Looking to see which product is going to be most cost effective for magnesium corrections. On one hand, I can get the BRS 2 part maintenance solution (1gallon) for $25 at LFS or Fritz Pro solution (467ml) for $7 which 1ml per gallon = 18ppm.
Which route? I dose All For Reef but it’s having a difficult time keeping up with magnesium demand from excessively heavy coralline growth.

All For Reef. Magnesium is gradually depleting which I suspect is due to coralline completely covering back glass, overflow, equipment, etc.

You should not need much, but my diy recipe ( BRS uses it) is a fine way to go.

I guess what I’m looking for is a comparison showing the concentration of the BRS 2 part mag (ie, 1ml per gallon = what ppm?). I don’t know my daily consumption rate so I just stick to weekly corrections.

I’m not sure exactly what you want to know, but all of my magnesium recipes (including those used by BRS) are about 47,000 ppm magnesium and you can use this calculator for doses:

Use the entry for Randy’s recipe 1 and 2 versions A and B.

In general, I think most folks are better off dosing magnesium based on calcium dosed, since magnesium testing is so prone to errors.
