Our BRS 4 stage RODI was installed last May. Filters have not been changed. The TDS going in / out ranges from 35 in to 17 out and as high as 80 in to 36 out. Should I just change the filters or is there something else to be worried about? I was thinking of getting the upgrade from BRS to make it a 6 stage.

When new were you getting 0 tds output?

Do you have a multipoint tds meter?

Using the hm dual meter can pinpoint where its failing and what to replace.

You can just replace the filters needed. Will need to run for an hour like when you purchased to rinse off the media.

sediment and carbon should be replaced every six months. earlier for carbon if you have detectable chlorine, and earlier for both of you see a decrease in psi.

i’m curious as to what “in” and “out” you’re reading. i’m not familiar with that particular unit.

the di brs sells is pretty sub par so it’s possible you burned through that cartridge, depending on how much product water you’ve made.
