BRS 5 stage. Disconnect DI for drinking water?

I'd like to modify my 5 stage located in my laundry room to bypass th DI resin to fill up my 5 gallon drinking bin when not producing rodi. Has this been done? I havent had any success find any videos or instructions on the matter. Thanks

I was thinking just a t valve as well. I have one for going to top off container or water change container.

One thing I can recommend for an extra slight cost - if you get a filter housing + 2 straight fittings + http://spectrapure.com/RO-Remineralization-Cartridge-2.8in-D-x-10in-L then you can put this on your RO line and make tasty water. The RO line is quality soft water but the membrane has stripped it almost completely(96%+) and once I got the REMIN cartridge, I could immediately taste the difference.

They use it on their Coffee Lovers System with dual pass technology. I've been using it in my coffee machine and for my 5gallon water dispenser and it taste great. My kids seem to be drinking even more water lately but this could be because I told my son it gives him super powers

I recommend so. I have a friend who owns a coffee shop local to SpectraPure and has their CLS system and he was showed me the configuration. Since I understand how RO systems work, I figured I try this out and see the difference. I had been drinking my RO water for a good 8+ months and haven't looked back since getting the REMIN.

We've also been using the RO water in our coffee and ice cubes from our fridge. Adding the REMIN and then connecting that to my ice cubes - coffee machine - water dispenser I've just seen a huge difference in taste all around.

Dont use a T fitting, use something like this instead less pressure loss.
