so I have just gotten a new brs 7 stage rodi and was hooking it up today and went to use it for the first time and prime it and am getting a large amount of water leaking from where my finger is pointing at the blue line. My first thought was it wasn’t pushed in enough but I can not budge it at all. Anyone have this issue?

Pull it out, cut off a 1/4" and push it back in chances are good its not seated and caught on the edge. Sometimes you need to get it just right to slide all the way in, should feel a solid stop when you do it, 1/2" to 3/4".

If its oblong, just squeeze it back to a round shape.

Okay. Next step will be push that ring all the way in. While holding it, twist and gently pull with some pliers.

Second option is to unscrew that fitting and soak it in some hot water and try the step above.

Sometimes they get locked up.

Only thing I can think of for that is pull the cap off, check o ring/gasket, take off, put back on, then screw the cap back on.

Must of had the first timer putting yours together at the warehouse. Very weird.

I got a brs 7 stage also, zero issues so far.

I can see in your second picture that caps not on all the way. wonder if the gasket pinched

Shouldn’t happen when you spend this much of a rodi and makes me delay my water change a whole day. Which backs up my schedule and more to do before I leave for vacation.

How do I pull them off?

We're really sorry to hear about all of the issues with leaking fittings. It sounds like the current issue is the RO membrane housing cap, but you were able to fix the other leaks, correct? To remove the cap, you'll need to remove the red line that is attached to the push connect fitting. I also find it easiest to remove the other tubes on the other side of the housing (blue and black) so that I can completely remove it from the rest of the RO unit. Just be sure to note where the tubes go for when you re-install. The cap can be difficult to remove, so if you have another set of hands, that is usually helpful. If not, a channel locks should do the trick. As long as the o-ring inside of the cap isn't pinched, you should be able to re-tighten the cap for a leak free seal.

Of course, we never expect anyone to have to repair a brand new RO system, so if you'd rather us send you a whole new membrane housing with a new membrane all pre-installed, we can certainly do so. I know you're on a tight schedule, so wanted to present both options.

Finally got all leaks fixed just one after another, really disappointed but working now. Really surprised on how low of water pressure I'm getting only about 40 psi.

I got the 200 gpd because I wanted something faster then my aquatic life twist in 100gpd and I think its honestly slower. I have read you need more psi for the 150 and 200 but don't understand why its so weak when this a strong sink.
