BRS and aquamaxx?

So you’re saying I probably shouldn’t have bought a sigma reactor for $60, lol. I figured the sicce pump alone costs $45 so at worst the reactor is garbage and I’m out $15.
I just bought their basic carbon reactor. I was going to mount it and run it outside the tank for space saving reasons. But no matter O-ring or not, if I flip the lid or not, no matter what, it leaks where the inlet and outlet connects to the lid. I've tried tightening, loosening, different O-rings. It's so stupidly oversized too. Bad choice on my part.

Curse this 50% off sale. I couldn’t resist and just bought a calcium reactor.
Now I need to go to bed before I screw up and buy a skimmer that I also don’t need.

Seriously though does anyone know why BRS is selling the stuff for such a huge discount?

Cutting ties with them obviously.

I would assume, I’m more curious if it means the Aquamaxx is going out of business completely. I’m just wandering if I will ever be able to find parts for the stuff I’m buying if needed.

ETA- I just checked on another vendors site and nothing is one sale, so hopefully it’s just that BRS is going to stop selling their products.

Looks like they are rebranding at least some of it based on today’s marketing email. Its AquaReady now.

Dayam you guys.. couldn't resist the frag holders, as you can never have too many on standby....

Any word tho if the plastic seal breaks and the magnets start to corrode?
