Because there is nothing wrong with RO/DI in top off.

Haha yeah but sometimes I'm lazy to collect RO/DI. I don't have mine plumbed in. And considering distilled water is cheap... i might go that route in the future.

SAME THING..happened to me.. trident factory calibrated and they told me it should be good or close if off & not to calibrate for week & so I stopped dosing calcium to get it down and messed my whole tank up because it was off by 100 and I ended up going down to 338 after getting hanna to double check when tank took turn downhill. : / still not recovered.

Good call randy, using rodi instead of distilled is the most common mistake with the hanna cal checker. My vials never see rodi. Distilled only for testing and cleaning.
