Guys, my PH is at 8.0. Relatively new tank (build link below). Got a mixed reef, some sps, zoas, etc. is 8.0 low/below optimal? Should I install a BRS CO2 scrubber? I see a lot of reefers trying to hit 8.2, so curious. Thank you.

It worked for me by raising the average pH by .2. If you look at your swings all day long you will find that pH is pretty dynamic throughout the day and over night drops. My usual was 8.0 dayside and about 7.8 nights even with a chaeto refugium. Now I bottom out at 8 and see 8.2 regularly dayside.

8 is not excessively low. If things drop below that for an extended period of time you might consider it.
pH is one of those parameters that it isn't as critical to chase. Thinks like Alkalinity, Calcium, Phosphate are more impkrimpo IMO.
Stability is meet in all aspects. An open window, depending on where you live often takes care of a low pH.

Could you run your protein skimmer air intake line to take in air from outside? That would effectively raise your ph

Thank you, guys. Cant run a line outside. I will see where it trends from now and will consider the scrubber later then. Everything looks healthy. Alk, cal, mg, phos etc are good.

Did you end up getting a CO2 scrubber?
