BRS Deluxe reactor

Just got my new Deluxe reactor but I can’t figure out how to get the cap off the refillable canister to put the GFO in. What am I doing wrong? The instructions just say to remove. I’ve tried twisting with no success. Thank you for your help!

I have the same reactor. It should have come with a hand wrench to open and close the top of the canister.

Thanks. I was referring to the inner canister. Finally took a tiny flathead screwdriver and wedged it in and popped the lid off. Who knew!

Yup, I use a butter knife. It works well, but gets a frown from my wife.

I’m not a fan of the design either. What happened to screw off tops?

Everything is Screwy after engineering took a Turn for the worse and now they are all Screwed Up.

PS: If your internal cartridge has the silver washer/gasket in the lid, make sure you never loose it. With time, they tend to pop out on cleaning. Without them, the unit will leak regardless how much you tighten the unit with the wrench.
