Brs dosing pump trouble shooting

I've had my pumps for over 3 years now and they have been great. I have one that has recently started giving me problems. It isn't pulling liquid like it should and has a lot of air in the lines. I just replaced the dosing tube but it did not solve the problem. Is there anything else I can do or is it time for a replacement?

Have you tried just running it with water? Maybe there’s just some bubbles in the line that haven’t cleared. I’d also check anywhere there is a connection. Make sure the tubes aren’t cracked where they connect to the pump housing.

I'm gonna replace all the lines today. Hopefully that solves my problem. I did notice the other pump is doing the same thing. Thanks for the feedback

Good luck! Those plastic lines get brittle. Hope that’s all this is.

Both are running perfectly again. Testing may of saved my corals. Went a week and alk kept dropping. Would increase dosing time and still kept dropping. Didn't even consider pumps weren't working correctly at first. Been going on auto pilot for so long.

I was only testing alk every two weeks. Hasn't changed for so long. For some reason I tested two days in a row. 2nd day I noticed the drop in alk, thought testing error at first. Tested again and read the same. Third day dropped again and that's when I increased dosage. Took me double dosing time to finally realize something is up with the pumps. I'm a little slow haha.

Great! Did you find cracks in the tubing leading up to the doser?

Didn't notice any but wasn't looking to hard.
