BRS Dosing Pumps

Couple of questions on the 1.1mL/min dosers from BRS...
- Can the pump head be replaced? I'm not seeing replacement parts on their site.
- Can the unit be opened at all? I want to monitor the dosing pump usage in reef-pi (not using reef-pi to actually trigger it, though) by tapping into a DC line and feeding back to the controller (I've done this for other things in my setup, curious about these).
- Reviews of late seem to have fallen into the "not so good" category. Wondering if the quality has fallen off a bit...

I have -0- problems with mine.
Tubing is the only part to replace as far as I know.
I did get 1 that did not work ( replaced right away no questions asked ), & opened the back.
Made in Italy.
