BRS dual reactor first fill

When filling the BRS dual reactor for the first time would it be advisable to flush the gfo cartridge first without the carbon in place? Once it runs clear would you then add the carbon and rinse again?

My recommendation is to rinse both the GFO and Carbon very well before even putting them in the reactor. Then I even run the reactor output through a filter sock for the first couple of hours. That's just my process, others will vary.
