BRS Dual Reactor

Good Morning/Afternoon.

I am running GFO and Carbon on my BRS Dual Reactor, and one of the issues I tend to have which it seems like a lot of people have, is my sponges get clogged up and I lose flow. Within two weeks its a trickle. I read that some people remove the bottom sponge on the GFO side, which helps a tad? Any recommendations to keep it from clogging up?

You shouldnt be using a sponge at all on the GFO side as far as I'm aware. I only use on the Crabon side.

Nope, no sponge at all on the GFO side. Any GFO that escapes would still have to travel through the two on the carbon side plus the packed carbon. The choke point in my setup is the bottom sponge on the carbon side but i generally get a full month before it clogs.
