BRS GFO & Carbon reactor dumb question

Hey all,

I just got a used BRS dual reactor and had a question.

I think i know the answer but never owning a reactor in general i figured id ask. When i went to rinse the gfo and carbon water came shooting out the back of the gfo canister. When i turned it over there is a threaded female "port" on the GFO side and a male threaded "port" on the carbon side. Do these ports need to have some tubing connected to each side? If so what parts do i need?

Should i just call BRS and see if they can fill me in. It looks like an older reactor

Based on their website it looks as if the two white tops need to be threaded together before being attached to the hanging frame. Might be worth taking it apart to validate that a good connection was made and the o-rings seated properly.

Hopefully someone else has experience using this reactor! Bump

The 2 tubes are attached but there is another port on the back. I dont think i got all the parts for the reactor because i think; now that i think about it, they are the connections to flow water from the gfo reactor into the carbon reactor. Just not sure what it should look like for me to get the needed parts.

I'd give BRS a call. Fastest way to figure it out I think.

Sounds like you need some sort of plug. Based on your picture, it's an older dual reactor. Mine (purchased within the last year) does not have the additional port you are talking about. Mine just have an inlet and output. Both canisters are threaded together with a fitting. Then the inlet and output have 90 degree threaded fittings.
