BRS Group Buy

Gauging interest here to see who would be interested in getting in on a group buy. We can get it started as soon as we have enough people interested. I think it takes roughly 10 people to get it going.
PM me your login name for their site and I'll add ya to the list. Let's shoot for late next week or early the following week to get it started.

Anything from BRS. Once we get enough people I submit the request and then everyone can just log in and order on their own and the discounted prices will show up. Most stuff on their site is usually discounted, but not all. You can even have it shipped to your own address. We just need to get enough people interested before starting. Doesn't look like it will happen this time around though.

We can keep this thread going and see what happens. I don't need anything terribly soon. Was just hoping to get enough people interested to save a few bucks. Let's keep it open for the rest of the week and see if we gather enough. So far I think we are up to 3. See if we can get 7 more.

I am interested in it. I need some test kits but am very confused on what to buy. I am using a Red Sea Pro test kit (I believe) and I am not sure I trust it. What do some of you guys use? Also the one I have only test for calcium, phosphate, and nitrate. I want to get one that test for nitrites, alk, and ph as well. Is there a full kit that will test for all of that?

I use all red sea pro test kits and they are very good if you ask me. I've compared them against Salifert and Hana Checkers and were very, very close in results. Check out BRS's website as they offer many individual kits but also combine many of them into kits of 3 that you can buy. In my opinion they are reliable. Salifert is another good name to trust as I used to use those awhile back. And Hana checkers seem to be good as well. I like the Hana checkers because they give you a number to read and there is no guessing. A little expensive, but good.

Thanks for the info. I guess the only thing that has me doubting my test kit is the calcium test. I get the water in the tube, add part a, shake a little and then add part b. Here it is supposed to turn pink but mine turns a dark brown/purple color. I guess my water could be this far off but all other stuff is close to being right.

Also I don't have a username on BRS yet. If we get enough people interested in this, I will create one and let you know what it is.

I was informed that all group buys through BRS start on Tuesday's. If I don't have much of a response by Friday of this week we can try for a group buy at a later date.

If you look on the site and you see the discount in blue for bulk purchase I believe is what it is, that is the discount you'll get. I'm not sure what the frequent flyer discount is, sorry.

If we get 4 more it will start on Tuesday.
