I am doing a reboot of my reef tanks which have been running with lr, sand, top off water, 1 sand sifting star, and we recently discovered a snail for a few years now. All my test kits were api and expired 2019 and I tossed them. I am looking at the BRS Master Test Kit for $180 and was looking for opinions on it.

I would get the Hanna for alkalinity, calcium and magnesium and Nyos for nitrate and phosphate myself. Red Sea and Aquaforest are also great test kits - but I'd probably stick with Hanna + one other for titration (as opposed to 3-4).

Those seem reasonable kits to me, but everyone has different preferences and there's not a lot of good comparative data around.
