Thank you for your review! I’ll have to make sure it can fitI have heard good things!
So if you’re a “hands in the tank kind of person” and have specific finicky eaters I’ve heard pulling the hotel out of your sump or wherever you might keep it and shaking it in the DT, gets some juicy pods immediately to the belly’s of those hard to feed inhabitants.
Contrasting to that, the only downside I’ve observed is that the hotel is rather large with respect to some sumps and unless you have the real estate to accommodate it you may have a hard time finding a ideal position.
Overall definitely worth the buy in my opinion.
Of course! BRS is great about posting diameters for their products and I believe you can find it in the description section of the product! Happy shopping!Thank you for your review! I’ll have to make sure it can fit
Is it really that simple? Like do I just zip tie them together?Just buy a piece of this and make your own. Plastic Corrugated board
It is that simple. Zip tie, fishing line, whatever works? Or just a couple drops of glue between each panel. It's very lite material, so you'll need something to hold/weigh it down. Another method is using amac boxes and drilling holes, then fill with rubble or other media. You're essentially creating a safe haven for them to live.Is it really that simple? I’ve gotta try it out. This’ll be my first DIY project! It is that simple. Zip tie, fishing line, whatever works? Or just a couple drops of glue between each panel. I'm not sure what you mean by external pump? Return pump? It just needs to be in your sump, back chamber of AIO or even in your display in the back. As long as it's submerged in water somewhere inside your tank/sump, you're good to go. I actually use the corrugated plastic as a light shield in my fuge to keep algae from growing inside my skimmer. I also have it separating my clams from the chaeto in my fuge (long story) and I can see the pods coming and going from the holes.I’ve gotta try it out. This’ll be my first DIY project!
I can store it with my external pump, right? There’s little to no light there. Can’t I weight it down with some rubble?
Yes I meant the back of my AIO. Don’t they eat photosynthetic plankton?I'm not sure what you mean by external pump? Return pump? They eat a lot of different things, depending on species, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Mostly algae, detritus, etc...Yes I meant the back of my AIO. Don’t they eat photosynthetic plankton?
