BRS Reactor Issue

I just received two BRS mini reactors and everything was going fine until I went to add GFO to one of them and it fell right through the grates of the clear cartridge. Even with the sponge the GFO ends up going through the bottom grate. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Not sure if this is why you are experiencing problems but the mini reactors only work w/ carbon alone or carbon/GFO mixture.

Connor from BRS says not to use this reactor because it would clog due to its size...but never said it couldnt work. The grates on the cartridge appear to be exactly the same as the others. unless you have the water flowing in the wrong direction I couldnt imagine why it would fall through.

I don't know if it is just happening when there is no water and once I add water to the reactor it will stop?

The water flows from the bottom, through the reactor...so that should prevent anything from falling through.
