BRS-ReefKeeper Lite Controller SL2 Package for $159 ?

One my pH porbes goes back to 2008 and is still working. It is a DA probe.

Well, I guess I did not think about using a different probe, than the $115. With controlling the ATO, I may not want the salinity probe.

It would be great, to use my tablet as it's used in the living room, vs my desk top computer in a different room. I'll call BRS on Monday and ask if it will.

Unless someone here knows for sure ?

I'm getting closer now to buying it !

Only the DA salinity probe will work on the SL2v2 module. You will also need a temp probe that will work with that module. It is used for temp compensation for the salinity probe.

Back to bummer, again. lol....

"It is used for temp compensation for the salinity probe".
What does that mean ?

When temp changes the conductivity reading does also. If you set compensation for it, it will stay somewhat consistent

It comes with a temp probe. But it's spicific to the RKL (itemp probe) it won't work with the RKE (Elite). It's a good package. I ordered a second power bar and I think I should have no problems using the RKL to control my frag tank as well.

As far as using your tablet to control the RKL I am not aware it will work. It might if your OS is a Windows platform.
