BRS retro T5

This may be a dumb question but I could not find an answer online.
Are the 4 foot retro kits exactly 4 feet?
I made the mistake of building my canopy smaller then 4 feet.
If they are 4 feet. Will I be ok with 36 inch on a 4 foot tank? I don't have many coral on the ends of the tank. Maybe some soft or LPS.

The only thing that sucks is there almost the same price lol.

I didint know anyone else sold the retro kits.

I just put up my 2' retrofit t5 from BRS and it was right at 2'. I really like it though seems like a solid kit.

Dang. I figured they where. I'll just have to do the 36 inch ones then.

I don't know which retro kits from the BRS site you are referring to, but I'm guessing it's the LET ones. The 4ft LET kit is 47.5" total, if that helps.

Where did you find that info I looked online and couldn't find it.

Yes I was talking about the LTE ones I believe.

Well there's no better info then that lol.
I think they will fit. I just wish I would have thought of this before the build.

Also, if you do need to go with the 3ft bulbs instead, you should still be fine... you just may have spots on the edges of your tank that you wouldn't want to have any SPS... depends on what kind of PAR you got there.

Yeah that was the plan if I did the 3ft but I think I'll go with the 4ft I'm just going to check again tonight to make sure they will fit.
