Does above know what BRS's rewritten policy on opened return pumps is? I bought the Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0 yesterday and was SO excited to get it installed today. After only an hour I was able to get the pump to connect via the CONTRALL app. This thing is LOUD! I can hear the vibrations from across the living room which is not going to work for me. I replaced a $80 Hyyger that I bought 2 years ago... it was dead silent from day 1. Needless to say, I'm BEYOND disappointed and am now worrying they might not return it. Just thought someone might have experience with this or know the answer since I'll now have to wait until Monday to contact them.

I believe they have a restocking fee on pumps
Best is to email or call them for RA and discuss any fees

I don't believe any pump should be that loud. I would think there is a defect of some sort. BRS has always had great customer service and I would expect a replacement.

Sicce is known for being a quiet pump. I have 3 ADV 10.0’s for return, skimmer, and spare pumps, and all are essentially silent. Actually, I’d probably be running to check if they were running half as loud as a Mag-Drive!

Open it up and check the impeller and such. It shouldn’t be loud. Maybe they will exchange or sicce will? Sucks to buy something new and get a lemon but it happens. Also all pumps seem to get quieter what they slime up after a week or what not.

I tried that last night, didn't see anything obvious. It is already much quieter this morning though so I think it just needed a little break in!

I has a similar problem and contacted sicce directly. They sent me a new pump.
Nice. I sent them an email yesterday, just waiting to hear back. It's got a bit quieter since yesterday but I can still hear vibrations. Here's to hoping

Just remember that we are in the middle of the holidays, so it may take a few days for them, Sicce, to get back to you. I have no doubt that they will make it right though. :)

Here's an update in case anyone else experiences the same issue... after 24 hours the pump was significantly quieter. After 48 hours, all vibrations have stopped and it's NEARLY dead silent. Still haven't heard from Sicce but it has been the weekend so that's expected. I'm on the fence about swapping the pump out at this point.
