BRS- RO/DI Pro DI Resin Switch Issue?

I switched over from the mixed bed DI resin to the "3 stage" Pro Resin setup. Since switching a week ago there is seemingly something a little off. Some of my softies look a little dull, particularly the leathers, and there is small, but noticeable amount of cyano. After reading over several articles and threads I switched due to the possibility of some elements passing thru undetected mainly due to pH and some evidence that silica and "metals' were present. TDS readings have read 0 with both Standard Mixed Bed and Pro-DI resins. I guess the actual question is, is there something that I could be missing with the use of the Pro Resins that would be detrimental to softies? Is a reduced silica/ metals level removing something they liked? Also the last day or two Ive had nearly close the skimmer valve because it was overflowing so bad.

I have high Co2 in my water. Despite producing ~3 TDS RO water, I blow through mixed bed DI cartridges after about 80 gallons.

I switched to a single Anion cartridge , to pull off just the CO2, then 2 mixed bed DI cartridges. I more than doubled my DI life.

I always used mixed beds but either way works perfectly well. If you have particular circumstances where you deplete one before the other (usually that means high CO2), it is fine to use an uneven mix of the separate beds (or an uneven mix in the mixed bed).

In general, I think it best to try to, and to intend to, remove everything with the RO/DI, not to rely on leakage to provide something useful since that will be super hard to understand and control and unlikely to be enough of anything useful without anything bad.

Last month I took my 4 stage ro/di unit off line and installed my new 7 stage BRS pro unit with the 3 step TDS meter. I’ve changed about 200 gallons of water with it so far. I will agree something is off even with 2 TDS going into the first DI stage, 0 TDS going into the 3rd stage, and again 0 going into my holding tank. Both my leathers and both of my Blackwidow Nems have stayed shrunken up from 24 how RD after the first 50 gallon water change. My 4 stage still had a output of 2 TDS and I chose to upgrade the system vs replacing the filters. And after topping off my tank with 2tds water for the last 2 months I thought it was wise to do 4 weeks of water changes at 50 gallons each, my SPS and LPS are fuller then ever but by nems, and softies are pretty mad at me.
